Director - Lisa M. Sharp
Miss Lisa has 43 years of dance experience to bring to her students.
She began taking classes of the age of 3, and continued her Dance
Education under Master Teacher Tensie McCamish. Miss Lisa received her
teaching certification from Ms. McCamish in 1983. She continued to teach a
McCamish Dance Studio until the fall of 1988. She opened up Miss Lisa's
Dance Studio in September 1988. The studio celebrates its
anniversary each spring (2010 is 22 years).
Miss Lisa continues her dance education by attending teacher
conventions, Master Dance classes taught by nationally known dance
educators, and yearly dance workshops. Miss Lisa continues to train
from Master teachers Darryl Retter, Janice Barringer, Brad Taylor, Rhoda
Miller, Dena Rizzo, Jerry Rose, and Master Hip Hop Instructor Barry
Youngblood. She was recommended for
certification of the performing arts by Dance Master Al Gilbert to the
Dance Educators of America Organization in the Fall of 1998.
Miss Lisa is a member of the Dance
Educators of America and the
Tennessee Association of Dance
Miss Lisa received her B.S. in Elementary Education from Tennessee
Wesleyan College in 1987. In 1992, she graduated from the University of
Tennessee with a Masters in Curriculum and Instruction. Miss Lisa
teaches 1st grade at Englewood Elementary School.

Miss Lisa "N" has 36 years of dance experience to bring to her
students. She began taking classes of the age of 4, and continued her
Dance Education under Master Teacher Tensie McCamish. She received her
teaching certification from Miss Tensie in 1988. She continued to teach a McCamish Dance Studio for one more year. She taught dance for her cousin
Miss Ann in Virginia for several years before returning to the area to
teach with Miss Lisa in 1994. Miss Lisa "N" continues her dance education
through attending dance workshops through out the year. Miss Lisa "N"
continues to train from Master teachers Darryl Retter, Janice Barringer,
Brad Taylor, Rhoda Miller, Dena Rizzo, Jerry Rose, and Master Hip Hop
Instructor Barry Youngblood.
Miss Lisa "N" is the Competition Teams Director. She
is the District Manager for the Kangaroo Incorporated.
Teachers
Jessica Whitted
Miss Jessica is a graduate of TWC in Athens. She is a Pre-K teacher at
Englewood Elementary School. She has taken dance with
Miss Lisa since the age of 3. She continues her Pre-School training under Becca Retter and Joan Lather. She is a member of the Senior Competition
group. Miss Jessica is the teacher of our Pre-school age dancers.
